Chainring Bolt question

I have a Cube Hyde Team which has an Alfine 8 IGH. I ordered the Hebie Chainglider at the same time I ordered my bike and installed it myself. For this chain guard to work, I had to remove the bashguard.

With the bashguard removed, the single chainring bolts seem a little too big. I even borrowed a single sized bolt from the LBS but it was the same length.

Is the solution simply putting a few spacers in? Just checking.

Yea, spacers as thick as the missing chainring..

real track crank bolts are just arm + chainring long,
