Gearing questions..................
 
I have been using riding videos that specify gear ratios. One of the most common settings is for small front chain ring and 15 on the rear. I believe that the front ring that is being used has 39 teeth however my front ring has 41. I wonder if there is any kind of conversion chart available that would list comparable gearing?

Simple math. All else being equal (particularly tire size), just compare the ratio of the chainring to the cog.

Video gearing: 39 divided by 15 equals 2.6 (this can be re-written as 39 divided by 2.6 equals 15).

Your gearing: 41 divided by 2.6 equals 15.8, which is closest to the whole number of 16.
