Alex Rim R500 hub question
guys,,what about the Alex rim R500 hub,are they 10 speed compatible? ,I have mine intalled with GT 4 series and Im planning to upgrade my cassette.I wont find any info but it says Formula sealed bearing on GT website...thanks for your help..

alex rims sells hubs now?
or are you talking about using the shimano hub from their WH-R500 wheelset?
if the hub is rated for 8/9/10sp then it'll work with 10sp.

sorry, I made you confused,,the hub description says formula sealed bearing,but it dosnt say any 8 or 9/10 speed,currently Im using an 8 speed cassette but I want to upgrade to 10 speed is it gonna work?,,thanks

If an 8 speed cassette fits, a 10 speed will fit. The 10 is a little narrower, so it will require a spacer.(1mm if I remember right.)

Right but the spacer is included with Shimano 10-speed cassettes. You don't have to buy it separately but you do need to install it.
