Ideas for Hard to Find Wheel

I need a rear wheel replacement for a Jalco 700c 622-17 6061-t6 (this is the exact letters on the wheel). It is a disk wheel with 6 holes for the disk. This goes to a commuter bike.

I would prefer to keep the cost under $100 and need something that will hold up to my 205 pd weight and gorilla riding (occasional curb hopping and haven't mastered the bunny hop).

Many thanks!

Jeff

i would go with a 29er wheel and have it hand finished

Your not that big of a rider but this is going to cost you if your not good at jumping curbs and ruts. Road bike spacing 130mm or mountain bike spacing 135mm. For a Disc 700c rear wheel $80 is about the starting price for a wheel with 135mm spacing. If you are hard on a wheel (less than year old) Then I would probably recommend you have a wheel built from LBS and get a hub with 36 spokes for more added strength and get a stronger or heavier rim as well. Wheels are the most important part of your bike in keeping you on the road. This is an area were you will be spending the most money.

yes, just saying 29er because generally they have disc hubs and a little more beef in the rim department

Don't know anything about the wheel but 6061 is a very common, strong, easily machinable, aluminum alloy and T6 specifies the heat treatment (temper) it has undergone.
