i want to get this bike but i hate the twist shifter....can i put a trigger shifter on this?

Trigger shifters and thumb shifters are two different things, but yes and yes.

Oh, wait it's a Nexus. Nevermind. I don't know. Someone with modern IGH knowledge should be along shortly.
