Trek 400d Bottom Bracket Size
Hi. I have a Trek 400d (86 or 87, I think). Does anyone know what size bottom bracket it uses? There is some play in the cranks, and the original bottom bracket is so old I don't think it would be worth it or possible to overhaul it, especially since I imagine the cup/cone would be damaged. It uses an SR SXC-200 crankset, which I couldn't find any info on. The reason I don't disassemble it and measure it straight away is because it's a lot harder to get to the bike shop on foot. Thanks for any help.

It should be a bog-standard, English thread, 68mm wide shell.

You will have to pull the cranks to find out the size you need as cranks have different offsets, models, brands ect.. Also if there is a lot of clearance to the frame you can go a size smaller in width.
