bottom bracket
I ride a GT GTR series 4 with a square taper bottom bracket. I'm looking to upgrade to a external BB. I've called GT and they are saying my BB shell is a BB86, but everything I see about BB86 show press fit, and when I look closely at my BB I can see threads. I'm just looking for some advise on making this conversion somi don't waste time and money ordering incorrect parts.

and have you spoken to the local bike shop? bringin your bike. they can see stuff,
