shimano chain change

i had a shimano HG73 9-speed chain on my bike. i had it replaced with a HG Dura Ace 7700. The new chain skips on the cassette when i am pedelling really hard. Any one know why?

You need a new cassette. If it is worn and you replace the chain, that is what happens.

Yep, a new chain on a worn cassette will nearly always slip, particularly on the cogs you use most. Either change the chain and cassette together or change the chain frequently so the cogs never wear to the point they are a mis-match with a new chain's pitch.
