27 1 1/4 tires on Ukai 1 1/8 rims? Can it be done? A few other simple questions too

Hey all, need to replace the near 30 year old tires on my fuji and I've been looking at the Panaracer Pasela Tour Guards. I was wondering if I could fit 27 1 1/4 tires instead of the 1 1/8 to get a little more shock absorbency and handle rough roads a little better.
I've heard it's done no problem, but I've also heard they won't fit on some rims... Thoughts?

And two more little questions:
Does anyone know the BCD of Sugino GT cranks?
Where the heck do you buy Simple Green?!

27" tires are generally interchangeable. You should have no problem putting 27 x 1 1/4" tires in place of 27 x 1 1/8".

I'm 95% sure Sugino GT cranks are 110mm BCD. Refer to Sheldon Brown to check:

I get Simple Green in gallon jugs from Home Depot.
