Bikes: Had a Surly Cross Check - was totaled in recent accident. Sadly now just a Fuji Crosstown as a backup bike.

With this truing stand, can I do everything I need to do? Lateral and radial truing? I don't want to bother with do it yourself stands and I don't really want to spend $200 either. I don't mind the cost of this if it is worth it.

I assume so. All that a wheel trueing stand does is to provide a stable place to measure from. It looks to me like that one will take a little longer but it'll get the job done.

I use this one, can just flip the wheel to do dish, lateral and radial truing is pretty easy. Cheap too

I've built perfectly good wheels with nothing more than a flipped-over bike and a clothes pin. As Retro says, all you need is a stable reference to adjust the adjust the tension on the spokes. A good trueing stand makes it easier to learn and faster to accomplish this, but it's not necessary.

I like the Minoura one but if I was going to start building my own wheels again I would just buy the park truing stand
