Rare Derailleur Type
Howdy Folks,
I just finished building myself a new bike from this generic aluminum cross frame, and it runs sweetly, except that I can't find a propper front derailleur for my needs. I started with a Deore LX on there, but took it off and now justkick the chain to shift. The problem: I got a 52-40-28 biopace chainring, but I need a TOP PULL derailleur with a 31.8 clamp. Does anybody know is such a thing exists? All of the shimano stuff that fits a 52 is bottom pull. Cyclocrossers usually don't have 52's, so they just use MTB stuff. Did SunTour ever make such a thing? OR: has anybody ever seen a cable guide which can switch a top pull to a bottom pull? With a 31.8 clamp? I'll use this info to know what to look for at LBS's and on ebay Thanks-- |
