Crank Question
I have a Schwinn S30 it has a 7spd rear cassette with altus rear derailluer. My question is can I put a ICON crank on the bike? The icon came off a 9.8 OCLV trek. The Icon crank has two more teeth per gear than the crank that is on the bike now and was hoping to use it so I would have a taller gear and better high end from the bike. The crank teeth look similar in size but it is my understanding the 9.8 OCLV has a nine speed cassette. Will I have issues?
I am new to bike mechanics so treat me like a moron and beat me like a rented mule if you wish.
