Kerosene?
Can I use kerosene to clean all parts on a bike? All mechanical parts I mean 
Like bottom brackets, bearings, derailleurs and so on... no danger in soaking parts in kerosene and then dry them and relube them?

Don't do this indoors near a gas water heater. Either kerosene or mineral spirits will be a very good solvent for this purpose.

Yeah I use Kerosene all the time, it is a great solvent, gets everything clean.

Kerosene is a great,very kind to your parts, cleaner. Since
kerosene is nothing more than ulta refined diesel fuel it
will clean the grundge off your parts while leaving a thin
lube behind. There LOTS of cleaners that are not so kind.

i use it as well, but be careful not to get it on any rubber parts.

Well ive heard kerosene works well, if i want things super clean like ball bearings or other greasy things usually i just use gasoline. soak anything in there for a few hours and nothing remains, plus for the amounts you would actually use its pretty cheap

Using gasoline for parts cleaning is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. Gasoline is too flammable to be safely used and even small amounts can cause very serious injury if accidentally ignited. It only takes a single spark.
There are better solvents out there for cleaning parts. Mineral spirits is much safer. Kerosene would be safer than gasoline.

well, i generally have a container i keep gas in for the lawnmower etc. If you have a sealed container and wash off whatever well its fine, just dont do it next to a stove.

Don't use gasoline, it contaions volatile carcinogens that can be absorbed through the skin. It is also highly flammable and dangerous in a confined airspace. There are much safer and kinder alternatives.

I'll repeat (for emphasis) what pedldlin brat just wrote: Don't use gasoline. It is unsafe as a solvent for cleaning for all the reason's cited. Use the numerous, safer alternatives. I've used kerosene for decades, FWIW.
One can get a "deoderized" kerosene that is a bit less odorous.
