X-series pedals with zero cleats or vise versa

What would happen if you use zero pedals (speedplay) in x cleats or x pedals with zero cleats (also speedplay). Just wondering, I dont do it just suspishish. (i miss spelled that)

Speedplay says in their Zero manual that you might be unable to remove your foot from the pedal when you want to - not pleasant
