chain does not have a smooth noise with sprocket

When I paddle, The sound of the chain with the cogs is not smooth.(its only the sound not the movement, but still bothers me a lot) I have changed the sprocket and chain of my bike. The sprocket is exactly the same as the previous but the chain is not. It is still a 7 speed chain. Can this be the reason of this noise? The rear derralieur suggests an CN-HG50 or CN-HG40 chain. Can this be the solution?

Most likely it is the adjustment of of the derailer and cable tension that will solve the problem.

It could be your choice of chain oil, chain wear, or too wide a chain for the cassette, or something as simple as poor RD adjustment.

It's impossible to get specific beyond listing a few common issues without more information. Yes it's a 7s chain, but hoe many gears on the cassette, and what is the nature of the non-smoothness, noise, vibration or what. and if noixe what does it sound like, is the same in all the gears or only a few.

I don't think its the RD as I tried adjusting it. Even when the RD is exactly in the middle of a cog, the chain still makes the noise. Yes the noise is on all gears.
Is there a difference between a chain CN-HG40 and HG40? or are these the same chain?

Check the alignment of the RD hanger.
