Shimano WH-R600 Front Wheel, Hub needs Adjustment maybe more?
I know the quality of this wheel is not so great, but I have one on the front wheel of my "beater."
Anyway I was spinning the wheel the other day and the hub clearly needs at least an adjustment, and perhaps even more. There is a fair amount of resistance/friction and it almost feels like a ratcheting (which I imagine are each of the bearings going through a dry or over-tightened spot in the bearing race).
I know this hub is some type of proprietary hub but can I do the maintenance the same as with say an ultegra or 105 hub? I have not ever done maintenance on a hub before but I am ok with basic wrenching and I figure the parktool site (and/or a youtube video) can walk me through the steps. And if I screw everything up the wheel hub is a POS anyway so I won't feel bad or guilty.
Suggestions? Will I need a cone wrench or can I get by with a pair of crescent wrenches?
ps I just read Sheldon Brown's webpage on cone adjustment (https://www.sheldonbrown.com/cone-adjustment.html) so unless anyone has better ideas I will follow his suggestions.
