Freewheel on a phil wood fixed hub?

i'm about to have ACL surgery and thinking a freewheel will be the way to go when i initially get back on the bike for a while.

i have a phil wood fixed/fixed...would using a freewheel be a no-no on this hub?

do i really need a fixed/free hub?

The threads are the same so it probably depends on how on many threads you need to support the freewheel you choose. Ask Phil customer service, they are friendly and helpful and will give you a straight answer.

Best of luck with you recovery!
