trek bottom bracket
i have aquired a trek 7300 trekking frame in alpha aluminiuum. there is no bottom bracket spindle set and it is larger that the spare sets that i have.
it would be easy to order if i could establish the year of the bike, but have had no success with searching for the frame number.
it is distinctive by the mounting lugs, ie. one on front nearside fork which looks like it could be for a bottle generator. and one on front of bottom bracket plus one on chainstay which could be for a chainguard,
any help would be appreciated.

OK so the bike is a European or UK model? are there any markings on the current BB set?
what is larger? is the BB shell too large for you spare BB set? what size is your current/spare BB set?

I'd just replace the whole mess with a 73 mm cartridge BB. Measure your existing spindle, and get the same spindle length (113 mm? 118mm?). They're cheap and readily available. British standard threading, of course.

the spindle shown (which i fitted to get an idea of size) is 124mm and there is no room to get the lock nut on so i assume would require another 3-4 mm
