Converting drop bars to bullhorns - WTF DO I DO WITH MY BRAKES!

so i'm working on this old raleigh and i thought it'd be cool to replace the classic drop bars with bullhorns since i rarely get down to the lower position anyway. this setup has the traditional road levers, plus the horizontal levers up top.

i've never replaced or modified brake cables before. what do i need to do to convert this to the plug in, reverse levers on the bullhorns? or keep the horizontal levers and just get rid of the road ones from the old handlebars?

what would be the smartest/simplest thing to do?

Thanks for any help!

either get the reverse levers,
or use the normal road levers with their cables looping out in the air
or use the road levers upside down

options are ordered in descending aesthetic value

p.s. the cross levers (horizontal levers as you called them) can be used as impromptu reverse levers by mounting them at the tip of the bullhorn and running cable through them backwards.

A ski tip bend may let you mount road levers.

cable out the top brake levers can be cabled backwards.

housing stop on the bottom, the cable end seated in the body..
