Shimano's external bb cups (such as the BB6700 in your link) are equally compatible with triples, std doubles and compact doubles. To my knowledge, any of the BBs from 4500, 5600, 6600, 7800, 5700, 6700 and 7900 are cross-compatible with any of the two-piece cranks of these same series. For triple crank installation, you'll install a spacer (included with crankset).
