Broken seat post, seatpost clamp an easy fix?
Hi, I found a bike for a very good deal but the only problem with this bike is where the bolt to hold the seat post in place has broken off. I believe it is called the eyelet which has broken off. The owner has placed a bigger nut on the other side and says the seatpost can still adjust.
Is there a way to fix this problem such as putting on a seatpost clamp? I've attached a picture for more clarity. Thanks for your help in advance!

Measure the outside diameter of the seat tube lug not including the "ears". If it a standard diameter (28.6, 30.0 31.8 or 34.9 mm) that seatpost collars come in, you could very carefully hacksaw the ears off and file the surface smooth and flush and then use a collar IF the lug projects enough above the top tube.
