Changing drops to a riser, but riser is different diameter, need help.
Hey guys,
I ride a Trek T1. I recently purchased a riser bar to replace the drop bars that are on now. The riser is a good amount smaller in diameter than the drop bars, so it wont sit tight in the existing place.
Is there some kind of shim or spacer I am supposed to purchase, or do I need to completely replace the stem? If so is there anything else I need to replace?

Shims are available to fit the smaller diameter bar to the existing stem. I'm guessing your stem and previous bar is a 31.8, new bar is 25.4.

A Web search on "handlebar shim 31.8 25.4" yields numerous hits. Generally about $10.
