For all wheel builders

Hi All,
Wanted to share with all wheel builders a tool I found at Princess Auto. See attached pic, all you have to do is file/grind down the 'bit' end and you have probably the most important tool for wheel building. All for $2.99
Hope this helps someone

For the price that's a real bargain. There are commercial versions that have a pin in the center of the blade to keep it centered in the slot and to eject the driver when the spoke gets close enough to the top of the nipple. They don't sell for $3 however.

Nice! We don't have a Princess Auto, but I might browse around my local stores to see if they have that. Much better than the pricey ones made for bike wheels, and you can make the pin HillRider mentioned by filing the head back on each side a little.

Here's another useful one:

This is a split-tip screw-holding driver. It's great for installing slot-headed nipples into double-walled rims during lacing. You can wedge and release it with one hand.

Only in Canada, eh? :D

It's not hard to grind or file to chew away two small L shapes so a pin is left in the center. In fact it's the perfect use of a Dremel for a change.
