Carbon brake pads
I bought a set of carbon wheels. I knew I would need special pads for the rim brakes. The problem is that all the rim brake pads seem to come as a lining material only. Is there a standard shape for the pads across all brands. If not how do I get an appropriate "backing plate" for a given set of pads. The research I've done seems to point to swiss stop yellows, as they stop better and I'm a clyde. My current brake set is Cane Creek's SCR-3. Would the Swiss stop pads just bolt in to my current backing plates? Any suggestions? I didn't realize this would be so complicated.

Your SCR-3 have shimano compatible brake pad holders. Swisstop yellow, in shimano compatible version will slide right in.
