Rim Brakes for Carbon rims?
I forgot I'm gonna need "special" brake pads for my Bontrager Aero Tubular Carbon rims. This is a totally new thing to me. Do you have any suggestions. Brand? Type?

Zipp makes pads for carbon rims, I sure others do as well.

Kool Stop, JagWire, and many others make carbon specific pads, so you have many choices, pick one.

I've only had 1 experience with carbon rims - my buddy on race day. He tore through a set of cork pads in two races. You might want to do some research and see what lasts the longest if you plan on using these wheels daily.

If you did a little research on the Bontrager website, you would find this
http://bontrager.com/support/speed_limit_brake Q: Can you use carbon rims with this brake? A: Yes. But it is very important to use a carbon specific pad when using a wheel with a carbon rim. We recommend the Bontrager Carbon Stop pads for use with Bontrager carbon wheels. which answers your question |
Swiss stop yellow work well for me, but they are pricey. New carbon wheels traditionally come with a set of appropriate brake pads included.

TRP is another brand offer an A(luminum) & a C(arbon) insert
