SLX 9-Speed Rear Derailleur

Are these good or should I look for something else?Shimano America RD-M662 SLX 9-Speed Rear Derailleur I am building a Big Dummy bicycle and trying to get stuff for it that will last a while.Thanks any Info will help.

They're good, somewhere between Deore and XT.

Since it is a "Shadow" RD, the cable routing will work best if it comes from above via the seatstay, as opposed to the chainstay. If your bike routes the cable along the chainstay, you may want to find an RD that's not a Shadow design. (Either work though.)
