Threaded Headset for 1997 Lemond Zurich?
 

I am renovating a 1997 Lemond Zurich (going to have it painted) and want to upgrade the headset a bit. Would prefer black, but that's not a deal-killer.

The problem I have is in doing my online shopping around, I'm not sure exactly which size I'm looking for - 26.4, 30, 30.2?

If anyone is familiar with this frame and and has a recommendation on a decent quality headset for it (say, up to $50), I will appreciate it much.

This has a 26.4 mm crown race, and a 37.6 mm stack height.

Thanks. Going to take it to one of the good local mechanics after the painting to put the fork back on. He said he has a few of the Ultegra headsets, so should be good to go.

If the stack height is compatible, the old Ultegra HP-6500 cartridge bearing headset was one of the best ever made and a super bargain too.

i have just recently finished building up my 97 lemond zurich. the headset is ISO. I put on a Shimano Ultegra HP-6500.
