QR flipflop hub?
I'm looking to build up a singlespeed, and I've got my eye on the On-One Maciato frame, but that takes a 120mm rear hub, and I'm hoping to use a quick release. I've used QRs with singlespeed drivetrains before, so I know it works, but what I want is a hub which I can retrofit with a hollow QR axle. I know the QR skewer will be far too long, which is why I intend to cut it down and extend the threads further down it on a lathe. The question is, who makes a flip-flop singlespeed hub which takes a standard axle that I can replace with a QR? Most of the hubs I've seen have cartridge bearings, am I correct in thinking it would be rather hard to change the axle on them?

Edit: I've just seen the Dura-Ace track hub, which I'd imagine is cup-and-cone like all Shimano hubs, but I don't want to shell out that much money!

The trouble with that is that most of them seem to have cartridge bearings. The BMX hubs I've dismantled (quite a few) that use cartridge bearings all seem to have shoulders on the axle, or a section with no threads that's machined, which is why I'm asking. Will cartridge bearing road hubs have something like this? If they do, can I just whack any old 10mm axle in, or will I have trouble?
I know QRs can be used with fixed gears, because I've done it, I didn't make it clear, I just said singlespeed in the original post, it was a fixed-gear as well.

I have an older Sanshin/Specialized sealed bearing freewheel hub the "cone " is threaded on the inside,
has a bearing shoulder on the outside and the ID of the bearing sits on it ..
Would be no problem shifting it around On the axle , and swapping a few different axle spacers.
there are dozens of hubs for the fixie flip flop crowd, haven't seen many in my hands.
I think Keirin regulations level the playing field Dura Ace Track
and Campagnolo are both loose ball cup and cone.
because the tracks in Japan have a Betting window.
