Specialized Camber welding frame issue

Specialized Camber welding frame issue

If you look right below the seat post, there is suppose to be a triangular hole. However it looks like specialized has welded it shut. I just bought this bike a few days ago. Should I contact Specialized or the bike shop I bought it from? Also, what do you think the bike shop or specialized can do for me. Is it worth me going back and getting another one?

looks ok to me. you are talking about the gusset right? whether there is a hole or not depends on the frame size i believe

Looking at net photos of a camber there is an open triangle on the pictures ... but that may vary on frame size. If you just bought it, check with the LBS you purchased it from first. Look at other frames the same size. I don't see how it would affect anything other than making the bike easier to clean without the "hole".

Mate that's a brace. It's supposed to be welded, and it's structural, you want more material there not less unless you plan on hanging the bike on a wall so you can admire the neat welds and nice little hole between the top tube and the brace.

What size frame do you have, often those holes in the frame will be closed by the time you get to the smallest model in the range.

Looks like only one shock to me. Looks like the smaller frame cannot accomodate the hole. You can check with the shop to be sure but the bike is fine without it - probable stronger in that area - don't sweat it.
