17 teeth or 20?

The crank puller from Park says:
The BBT-22 is a shop quality tool for installing and removing ShimanoŽ and ISIS DriveŽ splined 20-tooth bottom bracket cups.
So I go to my garage to make sure mine has 20 teeth and it only has 16!
But it is a Shimano Ultegra. What do I use?

Is this an external bearing style? Those require a tool with 16 teeth (BBT-19).

It's a cartridge type, Shimano Ultegra. I did count 16T.

you have some nice bike shops in Ashland, just a few miles away..
buy the right tool from them.

Isis, is not a Shimano product, but a reaction to their Octalink,
and made by agreement amongst competing companies.
