Problem After Coaster/Pedal Brake Removal from My Daughter's Kiddie Bike

Hello all,
Today i attempted to remove the coaster brake from the bicycle..... i removed the brake shoes and put everything back the way i think it was however now the pedal has become free i.e. when my daughter pushes the pedals chain keeps rolling but the back wheel is not moving .... i think have screwed something while putting the parts back ....

Any suggestions as to what may have went wrong and what to look for (if possible in picture or video format) would be greatly helpful.

Thanks in advance,

To make a long story short, it's really not going to work like that. And the bike should have a brake, they have their uses ;)

I bet the clutch cone has come undone from the driver. (Refer here.) This would happen if you took out the brake shoes and backpedaled some, or pedaled and then coasted. In other words, put the brake shoes back in and it should work correctly.

If you want to remove the coaster brake and substitute hand brakes, you'll have to install a new rear hub or wheel.
