Are Mavic SSC brakes all-powerful? I don't they have no quick release lever...

As I recall, Dia Compe supplied brakes for completing the Mavic SSC group.

note: there are some Boutique double pivot brakes out there.. too.

Magura HS33... if you really want to stick with rim brakes. (rim brakes suck)

I have the HS33s on my trekking bike ..
way better than any cable operated brake I have ever used

You have an older, 09 version, shown..
Mine , on an '04 bike are older still, slave cylinders largely the same,
the levers get changed.

though you miss the point , the guys got a fixie, and wants a front brake for the hole in the fork crown. not V brakes.

Though there are bolt on horsehoe adapters that have V/cantilever bosses on them.
made for BMX bikes , may not be well spaced.

Ah, too bad... i think he needs a new fork... or maybe grind those rims
