Need a new bottom bracket

Where can I purchase just the bottom bracket? I am in the process of constructing a velomobile and need just the bottom bracket for the crank. I know I could buy a bike and cut it off to use, but there are few bicycles around in my area at pawn shops.

Would this be what I am looking for and it so, what size would I need to get? Thanks

Your link isn't for a bottom bracket, but the center section of a HT2 Bottom BRacket.

You haven't said what type you need, there are Square Taper, Ocatlink, ISIS, HT2 and many others, you need to be more specific about your needs /type of crank you are using.

You have listed you are in Nashville, just Google searching brings up 7 bikes shops in Nashville; have you tried any of them?

Are you looking for a bottom bracket (spindle, cups and bearings) or a bottom bracket shell, i.e. the part of the frame the bottom bracket screws into? If you are looking for a bb shell, a local frame builder should have a source or look at the "Frame Builders" forum here for recommendations.

I was looking for the bottom bracket shell. I didn't know what that was called. I need the shell so that I can install the crank on the front of the frame. Thanks for the info! I found one right here!

Probably simplest if you get one with English threads. I can't tell if that one's threaded or not.

Edit. 68 mm, English thread is very common.

Yep. So far, I have gotten the back axle connected to the seat, lower, and upper booms. I am waiting on the suspension springs, wheels, and now the bottom bracket shell to arrive before I can continue.
