Headset
Hi hope all are good... I have searched and the best I have found is use a BMX... I want to use a thread less fork in a '65 Schwinn Typhoon is there a 1" headset out there I can use?

There are lots of 1" threaded headsets out there but I don't know if that vintage Schwinn used ISO or their own proprietary dimensions. You might post this on the C&V forum for a bike that old.

I have had problems with even Schwin's own crown races fitting loosely, so had to use LocTite. I would measure the inside of the head tube and also make sure the headset matches your new fork's crown diameter, which should be 26.4mm (ISO), or 27.0 (JIS).

Thanks a ton for that info dddd. I thought that maybe all Schwinn Typhoon bikes of this era... the 60's would have the same head tube length and inside diameter.. I think I am going to go with a threaded 1" fork now makes finding a good headset allot easier...
