had a wreck today...long story short, everything works, but the cement totally tore up the tops of my shifters: the plastic covers on top of my Shimano 105 STI's..."Shimano 105 ST-5510 Triple"... they're messed up beyond repair...it's the plastic plates that say "shimano 105 flight deck"...actually, they got ground up even beyond that into the body of the shifters, but i was hoping there was some way i could just replace the plastic covers - for cosmetic reasons and to keep out dust & rain...

i know shimano doesn't sell parts for this stuff...any suggestions? hoping maybe someone can point me towards something i haven't thought of...

i'm keeping a lookout for cheap used shifters on ebay and put an ad up here too...

If it's cosmetic, let it go. Scratches are going to happen. Sleep good tonight.
If it's causing shifting problems, pony up the cash.
