Alligator I-Link cable housing
Anyone have any experience installing this stuff? I know it works well - heck I've seen it on several pro bikes (including Contadors).
The main problem right now is that it takes a lot of force to shift the rd. Not sure what I've done wrong there.

Sorry for the obvious, but here goes:
- any kinks?
- any undue friction in just the cable? i.e. any stray strands of cable clogging the system?
- did you use their kit or just their outer with your own inner?

Used their outer and inner housing/liners. No kinks I can see. One thing I'm wondering is that due to the nature of the housing it can be pulled longer or squeezed shorter. I'm wondering if that's part of the issue. Also, when snugging the cables up the liner is slipping out of the housing in places. Real PITA. Wish they'd make a nice you tube instruction vid - I might do that myself once I figure this out.

If it can be pulled longer/shorter and is slipping out of the housing you don't have enough links. The liner is just to "line" the inside of the links. It cannot take any tension/compression..so there should not be any places where you can push/pull against the liner.
