Patch A Snake Bite Tube Puncture?

I hit two nasty unseen opened curbs in rapid succession on my ride yesterday. The front tube suffered a snake bite puncture and had to be replaced on the ride. I would like to know whether it is smart and wise to patch and re-use a tube with a snake bite puncture.

Or just toss the tube? I have never had this kind of puncture b/4 in all my years of cycling experience, thus kinda flustered about it.

It's perfectly fine to do and would be a waste of a tube to just toss it! I'll let some more people reply saying it's fine, too...

Sure, some patch kits even come with long rectangular patches practically custom made for snake bites.

Yep. Patch it. Depending on the kit, a rectangular or medium size round patch will do the job.

Thanks for all responses.

I have patched it, and so far, all seems to be well.

We'll see if it holds.
