Hi,
I hope this is the right forum. Whats the difference between Finishline Ceramic wet lube and Finishline wet lube?

Depends on which answer you're looking for. If you're asking about the difference in the products themselves, I suggest you visit thr FL site and see what they have to say. If you're asking about performance, then expect lots of conflicting opinions here.

I make chainlube so I'll refrain from commenting about a competitor's product, but chain lube opinions vary tremendously. That's partly because there are so many different lubes, but IMO mostly because people's needs, expectations, and preferences vary so much. A mtn biker in the Northeast mud, will probably have very different opinions than a road biker in the dry plains states.

I suggest you search "bicycle chain lube reviews" where you'll find links to reviews of these and other chain lubes. If you're trying to find one you'll probably like, weigh reviews from people riding in conditions similar to yours most heavily.

It probably is, though there might also have been some adjustment in the formula. But that doesn't answer the OPs question.

You probably won't get much pf a meaningful response, because i doubt that many riders have used both and can give you a head to head comparison.

More importantly, you have ro read many reviews to get any sense of a product. I've read hundreds ( literally, not a figure of speech, will probably bump this to thousands soon) of reviews of my product and other chain lubes, and one thing that jumps out is how often there are totally conflicting opinions of the same product.

Some of that I chalk up to the variables in conditions, expectations and preferences, but some is a complete mystery to me. For instance Chain-L generally gets very strong comments about how long it lasts in rainy or wet conditions, many citing it is the main benefit, then along comes a review form someone who said he didn't like it because it doesn't last in the rain. Is that a result of poor application or maybe overly high expectations? Who knows, but I cite it as a reason to look at as many reviews as possible to get a decent general sense of a product.

That applies to any product. Look at chains, for everyone saying that sram chains are crap and Shimano is best, is one saying just the opposite.

If you really want to form an opinion about a chain lube the only way is to try for yourself. I'm encouraging all Chain-L dealers to offer a free demo lube to any who ask, and if you have a relationship with your local shop he might demo one of the FL lubes for you. If not, you can still try for yourself for not much more than a Mcdonalds meal, and worst comes to worst wash it off and try something different.
