Changing out stem. Changing handling?
Hi, having some back pain (temporary I hope) on my road bike and have a 110 stem with +6 degree angle. Other than misspent pride and a fredish look are there any handling issues swapping out to a +17 degree stem of same 110 length that I should be mindful of?

Not really. It will move the handlebars back slightly, but no other meaningful change. Here's a link to a site that'll show the effects of changing stem angle and length.

Any minor handling change which occurs, and it will be minor if even noticeable, you will accommodate before you are aware of doing it.

If you change the stem radically you might need longer cables but unless yours are at the limit right now I don't think it'll be an issue. Obviously make sure the new stem has the same clamp diameter, everything will be good to go.
Don't worry about "the look." Whatever is comfortable for you is what you should use.
