Needed help identifying correct bottom bracket and crank arm tools
 

Hey guys,

I have a 2009 Jeep Wrangler SE bike [I know... I made a mistake] and I need to adjust the crank axle bearings. Do any of you know for a fact which are the correct bottom bracket and crank arm tools for this particular disaster of a bike?

Since you haven't specified what crankset you have, based on the limited information available I'd guess that you have a square taper crank. In that case you'd need a Park CCP-22 to remove the crank and likely a Park BBT-22 to remove the bottom bracket.

Many thanks for your help. I am about to purchase the two tools suggested, but before I do that, if possible. Could you please look at the attached picture, and confirm that the the Park CCP-22 & BBT-22 are in fact the correct tools for my application.

also need a lock ring wrench

That's one of the cheaper ones that's supposed to look like a cartridge, but isn't.
The Park CCP-22 or equivalent (Google bicycle crank puller) will work to remove the arm (after removing the 14MM bolt)

The lock ring would take a Park HCW 5, but you might be able to tap it with a screw driver an small hammer to loosen or maybe even a water pump pliers.
The cup would take a Park BBT-22 or equivalent.
Often, the "splines" on these cups are not well filled out, so you have to exercise caution that the tool doesn't slip and chip teeth. (I've got a couple different lengths of 8MM bolts and several flat washers to screw into the spindle to attach the BB tool so it's snugly "pulled" into place

What I'd be concerned about-
Depending on how loose it is, there's a good chance the cups/spindle may be "toast". (The cheaper ones tend not to be generously greased and aren't the best materials)
It may actually be cheaper to have the LBS install a new cartridge then spend a relatively large amount on tools.
It just kind of depends on if you plan on doing additional bike wrenching and can utilize the tools.

Thank you guys for all the help. Already managed to remove the crank with my new tool, and will finish the job once I receive the BBT 22 tool.
