Can somebody who knows their way around suspension please help
i know ive posted this before but nobody seems to respond . Im desperate here, all i get from shops is "we will send it away". I have a rock shox SID team 2004, it is leaking air on the negative side. First of all, what causes air to leak on the negative side? I assume by looking at the SID service guide it is those 0 ring seals which you can but replacents, SID dual air 0 ring service kit on Alfred E bike. Is this correct? And finally would a bike shop be able to replace these things for me? ANy help at all is appreciated!

Honestly the LBS's I've seen in pa, va, md, so far all do fork rebuilds.
Here's a shop I trust thoroughly. I know it's in Pa, but the owner is very well connected.

I just asked a good friend who's been a bike mechanic for 15 years (I think). Anyway, here's his response:
Yes, That O ring kit should do it unless something crazy is wrong with the fork, like the leg is cracked which is very unlikely. Any bike shop that has a good shock mechanic with proper tools can do it easy for about $20.00-$40.00 labor.
