Help! Took it apart, now I need to put it back together
My MTB was a mess of dirt and gunk. Got a set of bike tools for Christmas, so I decided to learn how to use them by taking apart my MTB and cleaning it.
All has gone well, except that when I took the cassette off, I forgot to notice where the two washers went.
One is a large smooth ring that I'm pretty sure goes between the second and third cog, if some faint marks on it are any indication. The other has teeth. Does it go on the inside, close to the spokes?
Also, I took apart my crankset with an allen head. Was that bad? Didn't lose any bolts, and I think I remember how it goes back together.
Tools+History degree = Trouble

The "smooth ring" sounds like a spacer. Look for mis-spaced cogs and that's where it should go. The one with teeth sounds like it's the lockring. You might want to surf over to the Park Tool Online Repair Help Site.

Park tool just says "replace spacers in the same orientation as when removed." If I remembered how they were when I removed them, I wouldn't have any questions.
I know which one is the lockring. it's the one with threads. The washer I'm talking about is thin and fits onto the teeth of the hub. It either goes outside the cassette under the lockring, or behind the cassette by the spokes. I just can't remember which.

Unless its a mod, it would go after the cassette(non spoke side.) Ususally the config is:
Cassette(5-6-7 or so cogs tied by pins)
Thin spacer
Cog
Cog
Lockring.
It varies some, but thats the gist of it. Look for what makes the spacings uniform.
