i recently put an adjustable stem on my 1" headset, and now the handlebars feel loose.. when i push on either grip it rocks up and down, i tightened all the bolts down, but i still feel a little bit of play

thoughts?

Do the clamp diameter of the stema nd the clamping area of the bars match? are you talking about drop bars?

I've used one of those stems and it worked great.

If everything fits and is tight you should not have any problems.

Verify the angle adjustment is tight. Then double check the bar clamp diam as Bianchigirll suggests. Then check the quill fit and tightness in the steerer tube.

its hard to explain, its mountain bar, not drop, the adjustable part feels fine, it feels like the bar is bending almost, like the handlebar is not tight enough
