cracked driveside crank

The picture pretty much speaks for itself, I need to know whether or not it is okay to keep riding on or if it is toast.

Thanks in advance for the help

Well, doubt it will explode anyday soon, the main issue IMO is that at eome point the crank wont tight no more.

Get a new one man.

It's done. It will just keep working itself loose on the spindle.

It's not something I would ride with. If you decide to tempt fate I would definitely NOT stand on the pedals. Think real hard about what would strike the top tube if the crank lets go while you are pushing hard. The risk of injury is not worth it in my book.

It should be ok as long as you stay in a gear lower than 20"!

Seriously, the crank is a goner. I suspect this could be the result of over tightening the crank on the spindle.

That will fail in a really interesting way.

I'd leave it on the bike to see what happens.

This^^

And then we will start a betting pool on which one of your body parts fails when the crank fails. Like foot, ankle bone, etc.

Winner gets prizes!
