Brake cable click from housing

When I pull the lever, there is a little click as the plastic bit fits back into the hole.
How can I sit this correctly on the brake lever?
I just tightened the brakes, so it's the actual cable housing that seems to be moving.

When you say you tightened the brakes do you mean you adjusted the cable tension?

As long as there is no slack in the cable and the brakes are adjusted correctly you should have nothing to worry about. back when I worked in a shop I had some that no matter what i did aI could not stop that little tick when i pulled the lever.
