chain mounting next chain ring, front derailleur not touching, chain line messed up?

What else could it be? bb needs a spacer?

awhile ago chain ring, cranks, and bb were replaced with lesser components than original (campy > truvative).
rear cassette and derailleur still campy.
Bike rode fine
but got in a crash, now rear derailleur arm may be bent. I am getting the problem in the title
maybe something else got mis-aligned? I don't see how the slightly bent arm could cause the chain to hop up (at the front top chainring location). It is fed directly from the cassette.

"now rear derailleur arm may be bent."

Get that straightened out first. Fix what you know is wrong before you troubleshoot further.
