Those of you who work in shops, curious about the old fizik test saddles

I've got a bike that would look good with one of the orange Fizik test saddles on it. (I think they use green now.) Anyone know if there is some way to get my hands on one?

I'm not sure that this would be outside the distributor-dealer chain. If the shop is authorized to sell the test saddle at some point I would be interested in buying it. Are you saying that such a sale would be in violation of some understanding or agreement? If so, what did they do with the old ones, just throw them away? That seems wasteful.

I'm looking for one in orange. The only other option for this sort of thing appears to be getting a custom saddle through their website, and I'm not certain about the colors. If I buy one I would be stuck with it, and that's a big outlay for the risk involved.

Would have to be a major city shop to justify the initial purchase..
with a prospect of selling enough pricy Fizik saddles to justify the test kit.
Manhattan , Boulder-Denver Seattle ,

so you just want an Orange saddle ..

know any leather crafters¿ they could cover over the one that your back side likes
with a second skin covering.

I have a friend, locally I was going to ask , the cover would have side bumpers, and I was thinking a lace on,

so repairs to the cover can be done later.

the Vitesse I seem to find a good sit, lacks those,
and the synthetic leather is rather fragile against abrasion..

right now I just use Heavy plastic as a rain and scuff cover..

Looks like the one I'm using right now.

Here's what happened to our dated Fizik test saddles. The manager kept one for himself (a green Aliante) and let the staff divvy up the others. Ask your local Fizik dealer what it would cost for you to take one off their hands.
