I have a 7.1 fx with Bontrager H2 tires and I think they are 700x35. Can I switch Schwabe Kojack 700x26 or is there something I should look for on my bike's specs/rim that would show me a limit?

I don't see why you wouldn't be able to go with shorter/narrower tires - unless you have a very wide 700c rim.

See "Width Considerations" chart: https://sheldonbrown.com/tire-sizing.html
And note the rim size is *internal* width.

Parcela 28's would work and they make a nice tire.

Where did you find a Schwalbe Kojak in 700 x 26? Schwalbe doesn't list it: https://www.schwalbetires.com/bike_ti...ad_tires/kojak

Yes, you can put a 700 x 26C tire on the same rim as a 700 x 35C. Rim width is the limiting factor, as others have said.

I put 26MM tires on my 20MM wide hybrid rims and they function fine.
I wouldn't recommend going under 25MM though.

I mounted a 23MM just for grins and externally, the tire is narrower than the rim sidewalls.

I once ordered a pair of 28mm Gatorskins and put them on 23mm Synergy rims, then on to the new bike I was building. Something just didn't look right. Close examination revealed that while the removable tags of both tires said "28mm", one tire had "23mm" molded into the sidewall. I was surprised it didn't look worse, but since then Velocity has introduced the A23 for 23mm tires which is the same width as the Synergy.

I returned the 23 for another 28.
