Teeth on fixed gear lock ring rounded out - How to remove??

I don't know how this happened but I discovered all the teeth on my lock ring were rounded out:

My lockring tool just slips off the teeth now when I try to remove the lock ring :(

The one on the bottom looks usable. What lockring tool are you using?

I've tried them all but to no avail. It's got something to do with those indents being too shallow, so the tooth/hook on the tool can't really sink in and get a girp. :( I'm using my friend's SunLite Pedal Wrench/Chain Whip/Lockring Tool

Hammer & chisel.

Do yourself a favor and use the left end of one of these:

Park Tool HCW-5. The other teeth help keep the middle one from jumping out of the slot.

A chisel is probably a bad idea, especially if it's your father's chisel. Screwdrivers make good flat punches, I have a couple which are specifically for use as punches for things like this. Don't forget it's reverse-threaded so turn clockwise to undo.

I do not know if it will fit yours, but works perfect on Phil's lockrings.

I say Vice grips/ channel locks since you won't be reinstalling it and doing this again. Right?
