Another grease thread
 

I was wondering if any of you were familiar with a grease called Termalene. It is a water wash resistant grease that the navy uses. I happen to have access to an effectively unlimited supply of it. Was wondering if it was a suitable grease for my bb and hubs.

There are thousands of greases out there. Just about any commercial grease will meet or exceed the demands of bikes. The drawback is that most are more than bikes than bikes need, so there's more parasitic drag than necessary. Otherwise it barely matters, though one rated with good water resistance can't hurt.

1. Grease is resistant to water.
2. Grease is thick enough to hold bearings in place during assembly.

If 1 and 2 are true then use it.
